We have now identified the specific firmware containing a serious bug that targets mining pools: PITBIT. Please refrain from connecting to our pool—or any other pool—using this firmware; doing so will result in either a connection failure or an account ban. Furthermore, other pools might not analyze the statistics as deeply as we do and could issue a permanent ban, suspecting a share withholding attack. We strongly urge anyone currently using PITBIT to switch to a different firmware immediately to avoid being banned from our pool or any other, pending a fix for this critical bug from the developers. We intend to contact the PITBIT team to explain exactly what is broken; the bug is so severe that the only worse scenario would be firmware that completely destroys the hardware upon installation.
