Grade system: pool fee from 2.9% down to 0.4%
Hash-Hut has no single fee for everyone. The more hashrate you bring to the pool and the longer you mine, the higher your grade and the less the pool takes from your income: from 2.9% at the start to 0.4% at the Legend grade.
Your grade is calculated automatically — no need to contact support, apply or negotiate custom terms. Connect your ASICs and the fee starts going down by itself.
- 0.4%
- minimum pool fee — at the Legend grade
- 6
- grades: from a couple of ASICs to an industrial farm
- 1.2%
- referral reward at the top grade
- +3
- grades forever for mining loyalty achievements
What is a mining pool grade system
A grade system is a ladder of levels where the pool fee goes down as your contribution grows. Pools usually charge everyone one percentage or give big clients a discount by agreement. On Hash-Hut the rules are open and the same for everyone: your grade depends only on qualifying hashrate, active mining days and bonuses.
There are 6 grades. The lower ones fit home miners with a couple of ASICs, the upper ones fit industrial farms. On the middle grades the fee goes down gradually as you mine, while Whale and Legend get their fee from day one.
All grades and fees
Thresholds are based on qualifying hashrate and set separately for each algorithm: SHA-256 and Scrypt ASICs work in different orders of magnitude. Fees, ramp periods and referral rewards are the same.
SHA-256
| Grade | Qualifying hashrate | Fee | Ramp | Referral |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Newbie | below 500 TH/s | 2.9% | — | 0.5% |
| Worker | from 500 TH/s | 2.9% → 2.5% | over 7 active days out of 14 | 0.7% |
| Farmer | from 5 PH/s | 2.9% → 1.95% | over 14 active days out of 28 | 0.85% |
| Industrial | from 30 PH/s | 2.9% → 1.35% | over 28 active days out of 56 | 1% |
| Whale | from 100 PH/s | 0.75% | instantly | 1.1% |
| Legend | from 300 PH/s | 0.4% | instantly | 1.2% |
Scrypt
| Grade | Qualifying hashrate | Fee | Ramp | Referral |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Newbie | below 10 GH/s | 2.9% | — | 0.5% |
| Worker | from 10 GH/s | 2.9% → 2.5% | over 7 active days out of 14 | 0.7% |
| Farmer | from 50 GH/s | 2.9% → 1.95% | over 14 active days out of 28 | 0.85% |
| Industrial | from 500 GH/s | 2.9% → 1.35% | over 28 active days out of 56 | 1% |
| Whale | from 1.5 TH/s | 0.75% | instantly | 1.1% |
| Legend | from 5 TH/s | 0.4% | instantly | 1.2% |
On coins the pool mines through partner pools, the starting 2.9% already includes the partner's reduced fee of 0.35% to 0.75%. The grade lowers only the Hash-Hut share in proportion to the scale, while the partner part stays the same, so on these coins the fee at higher grades is slightly above the table value.
How the grade grows and the fee goes down
- The pool calculates your qualifying hashrate: your average hashrate over recent days plus half the hashrate of miners you invited. How many days the average covers depends on your current grade.
- Qualifying hashrate sets the target — the grade you can grow into. Below the Worker threshold (500 TH/s on SHA-256 or 10 GH/s on Scrypt) the starting fee of 2.9% applies.
- On ramp grades the fee goes down with active days — days when you mined. The grade grows along with it: with Industrial hashrate you start at Newbie and pass every intermediate grade within 28 active days.
- Active days are counted in a sliding window: for example, Industrial needs 28 active days out of the last 56. Short breaks do not reset progress, but if mining stops for long, days drop out of the window and the fee goes back up.
- The Whale and Legend grades get their fee from day one — no days to accumulate.
- The fee is recalculated once a day from mining statistics. The “Grade system” section of the dashboard shows your current grade, fee and how much is left to the next level.
Example: a farm on its way to Industrial
A farm with 30 PH/s on SHA-256 or 500 GH/s on Scrypt of qualifying hashrate starts at a 2.9% fee and passes the grades as it accumulates active mining days:
| When | Grade | Fee | Fee on $1,000 of income |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start | Newbie | 2.9% | $29 |
| after 7 active days | Worker | 2.5% | $25 |
| after 14 active days | Farmer | 1.95% | $19.50 |
| after 28 active days | Industrial | 1.35% | $13.50 |
Between the points the fee goes down smoothly: slowly at first, faster closer to the next grade. Whale pays 0.75% from day one — $7.50 on the same amount. Legend pays 0.4% from day one — $4 on the same amount.
How to get a grade above your hashrate
Besides hashrate, bonuses raise your grade. Achievements and promo codes apply to both algorithms at once — SHA-256 and Scrypt.
“Loyalty” achievements
For long-term mining each achievement raises your grade forever and unlocks new avatars in the dashboard. Days count when the daily average hashrate on at least one algorithm reaches the Worker level: 500 TH/s on SHA-256 or 10 GH/s on Scrypt.
- Loyalty 1: 160 days out of 180 — +1 grade
- Loyalty 2: 305 days out of 360 — +1 grade
- Loyalty 3: 670 days out of 730 — +1 grade
Promo code
A promo code raises your grade by one level for a limited time. The bonus expiry date is shown in the “Grade system” section of the dashboard.
Invited miners
Half the hashrate of miners you invited counts toward your qualifying hashrate. So your grade grows even if you mine a little yourself or do not mine at all.
Referral rewards grow with your grade
For every invited miner the pool pays you a lifetime referral reward. Its size depends on your grade: from 0.5% at Newbie to 1.2% at Legend.
The reward never exceeds the fee the invited miner pays. And invited miners benefit from growing their grades too: their fee goes down by the same rules.
Grade system questions
These are miner levels that determine the pool fee. Hash-Hut has 6 of them: the more qualifying hashrate and active mining days, the higher the grade and the lower the fee — from 2.9% to 0.4%.
